Chiefs Kingdom is still anxiously awaiting an update on Rashee Rice's ongoing legal situation. He's reportedly retained legal counsel following a six-vehicle crash in Dallas, Texas that had police searching for him.

However, we haven't heard much since the initial reporting. Chiefs' team president Mark Donovan made the first public comments by any team official on Monday morning, offering assurances that the Chiefs are gathering information and waiting for the facts to reveal themselves.

Here's what Donovan had to say:

Appearing on KCMO Talk Radio with Pete Mundo, Donovan admitted the Chiefs don't yet have all of the facts but will "get to the bottom of it" and "act accordingly."

It was reported that a public statement would be released on Monday, though we've yet to receive that information.

Four people were treated for minor injuries following the crash, though all are expected to recover and ultimately be okay. Police have said that the drivers of the two racing vehicles that caused the crash fled the scene, adding uncertainty to the situation.
