Travis Kelce, the Chiefs' superstar tight end, is expected to play on Thursday Night Football against the Broncos today according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The two-time Super Bowl champion suffered a right ankle injury is last week's win over the Vikings and was limited in practice this week. With an extended recovery period before Week 7, some thought Kelce would sit and rest his ankle.

That being said, it'd be almost impossible to keep a competitor like Kelce off the field against Denver in front of a national audience.

Jordan Schultz also reported that Kelce would play, so it looks like all systems go for Patrick Mahomes' favorite target.

This is the second injury that's nagged Kelce this season after missing Week 1 vs. the Lions with a knee issue. It's unclear if the Chiefs will manage Kelce's snaps, but it's a relief that he'll be available nonetheless.

Kelce has 27 catches for 222 yards and three touchdowns so far this season, remaining Kansas City's most dependable receiver in a year covered by inconsistency to this point.

The Chiefs hope to win their 16th consecutive game over the Broncos and Kelce's availability is a massive boost to their chances.
