The Kansas City Chiefs are 3-0 after securing a 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. They are rolling right now and have a big-time divisional tilt in Week 4 as they travel to play the Los Angeles Chargers.

This game saw one player hit the bench while another guy seized his opportunity. In the meantime, the coaching staff made a puzzling move with a young defender's snaps.

Chiefs News: Leo Chenal Saw 14 Snaps in Week 3

After the game wrapped up, fans and members of the media paid closer attention to the snap counts. It was revealed that linebacker Leo Chenal only played 14 snaps in the victory. Meanwhile, receiver Skyy Moore logged 15 offensive snaps.

That is something that caught fans by surprise, as Chenal is a productive player when he's out on the gridiron. The Wisconsin product has superb athleticism to make plays in the run game while bringing juice as a pass-rusher when given the opportunity.

In 37 games with the Chiefs, he's compiled 114 total tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 10 QB hits, and four sacks.

Chenal's 14 snaps in Week 3 were a season-low for him. Drew Tranquill played 54 defensive snaps and Nick Bolton notched 48. The Falcons also ran the ball 25 times so it's shocking that Chenal didn't see more snaps.

We'll have to see if this continues next week or was just an outlier. But one thing that's clear is Moore shouldn't see more snaps than Chenal in any matchup when both guys are healthy.

That is a shaky strategy but the Chiefs have earned the right to make decisions like this. I mean they found a way to secure a win, with their defense making the stop at the end of the contest to secure the win.
