People around the country have patiently been waiting for NFL football to return. That time is finally here as it is game week. The Kansas City Chiefs are starting things off on Thursday night as they host the Baltimore Ravens in a collision to start the 2024 campaign.

This is a rematch of the 2023 AFC Championship Game, which the Chiefs won 17-10. This will be a star-studded affair with superstar quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson linking up against one another. We also have two of the top tight ends in the league Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews taking the field.

But besides that, the Chiefs have announced that another star will be singing the national anthem in Week 1.

Chiefs News: Coco Jones Will Be Singing National Anthem

It has been announced that singer, songwriter, and actress Coco Jones will be singing the national anthem on Thursday night.

The 26-year-old isn't new to this stage, as she's sung the national anthem in two other NFL games.

The first came in 2013 when the St. Louis Rams squared off against the Chicago Bears. The most recent one took place last season when the Philadelphia Eagles played against the Los Angeles Rams during NFL Legends Weekend.

Jones also comes from an NFL family. Her father, Mike Jones played in the league from 1994-1999 with the New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams, and Tennessee Titans. Her brother, Mike Jones Jr. also plays for the Atlanta Falcons.

The stars will be out in Kansas City and one of them will be holding the microphone to start things off.
