The Chiefs quickly got a piece of good injury news following Sunday's epic AFC Championship game win over the Ravens, as it appears standout defensive end Charles Omenihu will be good to go for the Super Bowl.

Shortly after forcing a fumble on presumptive MVP Lamar Jackson, Omenihu was forced to leave the game.

However, he told KSHB41's Aaron Ladd on the field afterwards that he'll be playing in the Super Bowl. See what he had to say below.

Chiefs Injury News: DE Charles Omenihu Says He'll Play in Super Bowl

Omenihu has been a revelation for the Chiefs after missing the first six games of the year due to a domestic violence suspension, amassing 6.5 sacks since the start of December while helping give Kansas City perhaps the league's most ferocious defensive front.

It would be tough to stomach his loss, especially against a mobile QB like Purdy, who was impressive with his legs in the 49ers' comeback win over the Lions.

Alongside Chris Jones and George Karlaftis, the trio of pass rushers gives the Chiefs a complimentary set of game-wreckers and we'll need their best effort to win our third Super Bowl in the last five seasons.

Judging his word, it looks like we'll have Omenihu out there in Las Vegas here in just under two weeks.
