Charles Omenihu is still working his way back from a torn ACL though hinted on social media about a potential return date.

The 26-year-old is one of the Chiefs' most impactful defenders, having put up seven sacks in 11 games before getting hurt in the playoffs last year. Omenihu hopped on X.com, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday and said he'd set his target.

Less than an hour later, Omenihu seemed to reveal his possible return.

Charles Omenihu Hints at Return Date on Social Media

This tweet would seem to imply he wants to return for a Raiders game. The Chiefs play the Raiders in Week 8 (Oct. 27) and Week 13 (Nov. 29). Both make sense as logical return dates, though Kansas City would likely prefer the sooner date.

Omenihu was injured during the AFC Championship win over the Ravens at the end of January. Eight or nine months falls within the common recovery time range for the torn ACL, and it'd be great to get Omenihu back with enough time to get into game shape before the playoffs.

He missed the first six games of last season due to a suspension, and Kansas City has enough depth to maintain a stellar unit in Omenihu's absence. George Karlaftis, Mike Danna, and 2023 first-round pick Felix Anudike-Uzomah will see more snaps, and Chris Jones will be relied on inside.

Once Omenihu gets back, the Chiefs will likely have the NFL's best defensive line once again. Whether or not these posts are an actual indication that he'll be back to face the Raiders, I'm looking forward to seeing Omenihu back on the field causing havoc.
