The Chiefs have several glaring needs as we approach the NFL Combine in preparation for the 2024 NFL Draft and DraftKings Sportsbook now has betting odds out on which position Kansas City will target with its No. 32 overall pick in the first round.

While these odds are not gospel, they do provide insight into who the Chiefs are most likely to prefer once they're on the clock.

We made our predictions on players Brett Veach needs to scout heavily, but what do the sportsbooks have to say?

Betting Odds for Position of Chiefs' No. 32 Overall Draft Pick

Wide receiver is the favorite at +125, meaning a $10 bet would profit $12.50 if Kansas City goes that route. Offensive lineman is second at +200 with defensive line/edge third at +330 and three defensive positions lagging behind after that.

This is one of the deeper receiver classes in recent memory and the Chiefs just led the NFL in dropped passes (44), so it's no surprise that's the position oddsmakers predict Kansas City will focus on early.

That being said, Brett Veach has never drafted a receiver in the first round. Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice and Mecole Hardman were all second-round selections, and there are more than a few exciting prospects that should be available at pick No. 64 as well.

Betting value may then be on offensive or defensive line, the latter a position Veach has routinely targeted with his early picks.

We'll keep you updated on the rumors and reports coming out of the combine, but you can bet Kansas City will be hard at work as the organization begins the quest for a three-peat.
