The Big 12 Tournament is underway in Kansas City and Andy Reid showed up to support his BYU Cougars against Patrick Mahomes' Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Reid is enjoying some "time off" as the team is engaged in free agency and preparing for the draft, so it was neat to see him pop up unexpectedly to support BYU.

Andy Reid Shows Up to Support BYU Cougars

Reid spent time at Glendale Community College before transferring to BYU, ultimately serving as a graduate coaching assistant for a year to start his legendary coaching career.

Decades and three Super Bowl rings later and Reid is considered one of the greatest football coaches to ever live. The Chiefs have a great opportunity to win another Super Bowl, though Mahomes' Red Raiders are getting the best of Reid's Cougars as the game unfolds.

Both BYU and Texas Tech should make the NCAA Tournament, as the Big 12 was easily the most competitive conference in college basketball this year. If they meet again in March Madness, you can bet some friendly barbs will be shared between Reid and Mahomes.

The duo is taking a bit of a break, but they'll be back to business soon enough. Kansas City holds +650 odds at BetMGM to win next year's Super Bowl. They've been a fantastic bet during Mahomes' tenure and I don't see that changing soon.
