5. Isaiah Buggs, Defensive Tackle

Isaiah Buggs is just 27 years of age (he will turn 28 in August) but has already played for four different teams in the NFL. An Alabama product, he spent the first three seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 335 pounds, he was the perfect size to clog the lanes as a nose tackle in their 3-4 defensive scheme.

In three seasons, he appeared in 29 games with seven starts. Buggs recorded 31 tackles but didn't do enough to stick around long-term. Pittsburgh released him ahead of 2022 and he landed with the Detroit Lions. Buggs was a surprise player in 2022 with 13 starts in 17 games and had 46 tackles and a sack.

This led to a two-year, $6 million deal being signed in 2023 but he made it through just 10 games before the Lions moved on. He was released on January 2, and the Chiefs added him two days later. It was an excellent move for Buggs, who never took the field but still won a Super Bowl run.

Re-signed in the offseason, Buggs had a shot at making the 53-man roster but might have pushed himself off the roster. Buggs was accused of two counts of animal cruelty in May and that could be enough for the Chiefs to cut ties. In all honesty, it's a little surprising Kansas City hasn't already moved on but it's highly unlikely Buggs is still with them when they make their final cuts.
