3. Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Defensive End

A borderline first-round prospect, the Chiefs took Felix Anudike-Uzomah out of Kansas State with the 31st pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The Big 12 co-Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2022, Anudike-Uzomah didn't have a lot of starting experience but possessed all the speed and athleticism needed to be a star off the edge.

Kansas City had him join another first-round pick in George Karlaftis who started across from Michael Danna. Karlaftis recorded 33 tackles and six sacks as a rookie and added 47 tackles and 10.5 sacks in 2023. Danna was in year four and put up 50 tackles and five sacks.

Anudike-Uzomah was able to suit up for all 17 games but played in just 20 percent of their snaps and finished with just 14 tackles and 0.5 sacks. Charles Omenihu took the majority of the reps as their top rotational pass-rusher and had a career year with 28 tackles and seven sacks in just 11 games. With all three returning, it could be tough for Anudike-Uzomah to see the field again in 2024.

Perhaps the Chiefs are fine with bringing him along slowly. Considering his lack of experience in college, they might have decided to give him a redshirt campaign and aim for more in his second season. That means this could be a huge year for Anudike-Uzomah. If he can live up to his draft status, then we'll all forget his lack of impact as a rookie. If not, his stock will slide even more.
