4. Skyy Moore, Wide Receiver

From the 50th pick in 2019 to the 54th in 2022, we now take a look at Skyy Moore who enters a critical third season with the Chiefs.

Round 2 can be tough since it often consists of players who might have first-round talent but something caused them to slip into the next round. The aforementioned Irv Smith, Jr., for example, had talent but was undersized for a tight end at 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds. As for Moore, he entered the NFL Draft with exceptional hands and a wide catch radius. He had a solid showing at the NFL Combine as well.

The problem was that he didn't create a lot of separation and was just 5-foot-10 and 195 pounds. He also played against lower competition at Western Michigan leaving concerns about his ability to handle NFL-level cornerbacks.

Still, Andy Reid and the Chiefs thought he could be a weapon in their offense. He's been given every opportunity but through two years has been a disappointment. Moore has 43 receptions for 494 yards and one touchdown in 30 games.

With 40-yard champion Xavier Worthy and 2019 first-round pick Marquise Brown signed in the offseason, he was already in trouble. The Chiefs later brought back Super Bowl hero Mecole Hardman, which means Moore could be gone.

Having said that, there are still major issues at receiver in Kansas City — including a question mark lingering over Rashee Rice. That means Moore can still fight his way onto the roster but his stock has never been lower.
