6 Chiefs on the Roster Bubble Heading Into Preseason Finale

4. Kelvin Joseph, Cornerback
The Dallas Cowboys struck gold in the 2020 NFL Draft when they took Trevon Diggs in the second round out of Alabama. While he didn't truly break out until his 11-interception campaign in 2021, Diggs proved he had what it took to be a starting cornerback as a rookie with 14 pass defenses and three picks in 12 games.
Looking to knock it out of the park in Round 2 for the second year in a row, they again turned to the SEC. This time, it was Kentucky's Kelvin Joseph who they brought in. Unfortunately, Joseph never lived up to the expectations.
Joseph struggled with durability and played in just 10 games. He still showed flashes of the potential that had him considered a potential first-round talent. But then in the offseason, he reminded everyone of the character concerns that caused him to slip. Joseph was sought by Dallas police in April of 2022 as a "person of interest" in a murder investigation.
It turned out he wasn't the shooter but was a passenger in the vehicle, proving he still was affiliating himself with the wrong crowd.
Joseph was gone by 2023 as the Cowboys sent him to Miami for first-round bust Noah Igbinoghene. He was released and landed with the Seattle Seahawks. Now on team No. 4, Joseph has been able to quiet the off-field noise and has been a pleasant surprise in camp. Even with that being the case, there's no guarantee he will make this roster.
