5. Someone on the offensive line

As the war on attrition takes its toll on every NFL roster around the league, teams will have to start making in-season acquisitions and promoting players to the 53-man roster so they can deal with all of their respective injuries.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be no different, barring some really great injury luck over the next month, and when you're forced to make difficult roster decisions due to injury, you might have to look at areas of your roster where there is an overabundance of guys at a certain position group.

For the Chiefs right now, that might very well be the offensive line.

Now, you can't be foolish and cut someone that you feel might have future starting potential, but if there are players who are weekly on the inactive list, you may eventually have to take the plunge and risk them getting poached on waivers to get them back to the practice squad. As of right now, the Chiefs have a whopping 10 offensive linemen on their roster, and that's with a very solidified top six.

Kansas City has three rookies it really likes up front in Hunter Nourzad, CJ Hanson, and Ethan Driskell. Former UDFA signing Mike Caliendo is another player this team obviously really likes.

At some point this year, it may come down to the Chiefs needing to be willing to part ways with one of those guys. And with the way the Chiefs have hoarded them on the roster, some team's pro scouting department would be licking their chops to poach whoever the Chiefs cut off of waivers at the first opportunity.
