2. John Metchie III - Houston Texans

The Texans have an overflow of talented receivers. Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Stefon Diggs are one of the NFL's best trios, leaving limited targets for John Metchie despite his stellar prospect profile.

Metchie was a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He overcame leukemia that derailed the beginning of his career, but recent reports indicate Metchie is fully healthy and working back into the player who became a star at Alabama.

During a three-year collegiate career, Metchie caught 155 passes for 2,081 yards and 14 TDs. He's a speedster with strong hands and at six-foot, he's a bigger player than Hollywood Brown while playing a similar role. If the Texans are willing to part with him, Metchie is the exact type of player that Brett Veach typically targets.

It's entirely possible that Houston won't want to do business with Kansas City given the Chiefs' status atop the AFC. We've seen the Buffalo Bills repeatedly make deals they quickly regret with Kansas City, so the Texans may not want to make the same mistake.

However, Metchie would be a perfect post-hype sleeper who could quickly earn a role in the Chiefs' offense.
