2. Zack Greinke - SP

Greinke reportedly doesn't want to retire yet, though I'm not sure there's room for him on this roster anymore. His advanced metrics were concerning last season, as the Cy Young winner and future Hall of Famer labored through an underwhelming year.

The Royals want to compete for the AL Central as soon as next year. If you're already starting Jordan Lyles every fifth day, you can't afford to have Greinke in your rotation as well.

He had a 2-15 record with a 5.06 ERA last year and can't last long into games, making it through six innings just three times all year.

My favorite Royal of all-time, Greinke has been a marvel and a favorite of the fanbase for years.

That being said, if the organization is serious about contending, that means moving on from Greinke and letting him finish his career in a different uniform.
