The playoffs are here and the Chiefs are favored to take down the Dolphins at home in the AFC Wild Card round.

Kansas City is on a quest for a third Super Bowl win in the last five years, though this season has come with more challenges than previous ones. The offense hasn't clicked and we've seen numerous players go down with injury, though the Chiefs are still in a great position to deliver on their ultimate goal.

That being said, some players need to step up to make that dream a reality. Let's look at five Chiefs who are on thin ice entering the postseason.

5 Chiefs on Thin Ice Entering Playoffs

1. Travis Kelce - TE

Hey, trust me, I don't want to write this either. Unfortunately though, the second-half of the season was a miserable one for Kelce and the murmors of a potential retirement are growing louder by the day.

Kelce fell 16 yards short of his eighth consecutive 1,000 yard season, posting just two games over 100 yards in the 15 he played. He's notably declining, though it's possible the physical symptoms were partially due to nagging injuries throughout the year.

He elected to sit in Week 18 to rest, so hopefully we'll get the best version of Kelce possible in the playoffs.

On the year, Kelce finished with 93 catches for 984 yards and five TDs. His chemistry with Patrick Mahomes and leadership are unparalleled, no matter what physical abilities he brings to the table, and he's among the most important Chiefs moving forward.

If he labors through a difficult few games here, it'll become more difficult to imagine Kelce returning for another go in 2024. We could be watching the last leg of Kelce's legendary career - I'm going to enjoy every second of it.
