2. Louis Rees-Zammit - RB

The beloved international rugby star was perhaps the Chiefs' most exciting storyline in training camp, though Carson Steele's emergence has rendered him unnecessary on this 53-man roster.

Rees-Zammit's versatility and special teams work gave him a good chance to make the team initially, though he's understandably looked raw throughout camp and needs more seasoning before he's ready to contribute at the NFL level.

Considering that Andy Reid likes to keep extra offensive linemen and the Chiefs are likely to keep seven receivers and Steele, there's no real place for Rees-Zammit. He had two carries for one yard and a catch for three in his preseason debut and while he looks athletic and explosive, he's much better suited for the practice squad at this point.

Based on how quickly Rees-Zammit learned the game and committed himself to the hard work, he's got a bright future. It may take some time to reach his ceiling, yet the organization should still have high hopes for him moving forward.

Now, the Chiefs just hope that he makes it through waivers without being swept up by a competing team.
