3. Mecole Hardman
Look, we've seen the Chiefs prioritize familiarity with the system and Mecole Hardman became a hero in the fanbase by catching the game-winning TD pass in this year's Super Bowl.
Kansas City let him walk last year before acquiring him in a trade with the Jets during the season, and Hardman could provide stability to the group as a familiar face who has achieved great success with Patrick Mahomes.
He caught just 14 passes for 118 yards in 2023, though he had 57 yards on three catches in the Super Bowl along with the overtime TD.

If the Chiefs have uncertainty with Rice's situation, and they likely have a better idea than we do, bringing back someone who already knows the team well and is beloved in the locker room seems like a great idea.
Hardman wasn't highly-sought after last year and the fact that he's still unsigned suggests he doesn't have a huge market this year either. Brett Veach should be able to retain Hardman for a relatively inexpensive contract.
One of the few Chiefs who has been around for all three Super Bowl rings, I'd love to see Hardman get the chance to earn a fourth.
