3. Leonard Fournette

Leonard Fournette was floated as a possible option for the Chiefs this summer. Patrick Mahomes' old draft classmate is certainly on "washed watch" but could still pack a punch. He turned into a quality receiving option with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and while he's no longer a top running back, Fournette could be exactly what Kansas City's backfield needs.

During the 2022 season with Tampa Bay, Fournette rushed for 668 yards and three TDs, catching 73 passes for an additional 523 yards as well. He's fallen out of favor in the league but has the experience and veteran savvy that someone like Steele simply doesn't have yet.

He's a tough, physical runner who isn't afraid to throw a mean block, something we saw on full display during his time with the Bucs.

Fournette won a Super Bowl over the Chiefs, though could find himself helping the 2024 squad get back to the big game. He's twice ran for over 1,000 yards, but his biggest selling point is that experience and physicality.

Brett Veach and Andy Reid need to consider all of their options. Pacheco is an integral part of the offense and no one guy can replace him. However, one of these free agents might be the missing piece of the puzzle to replicate Pacheco's production by committee.
