3. New York Knicks - No. 24

The New York Knicks are one of my favorite fits for Furphy, as Tom Thibodeau's defensive acumen could help fill the holes in Furphy's game to make him a more complete player. His offense looks like it'll translate, but it's his defensive development that'll keep him on the court for the next decade.

Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer slots Furphy to the Knicks in his most recent mock. New York has back-to-back picks and O'Conner has the organization using their first on the former Jayhawk in this example.

"Furphy is one of the biggest risers of the pre-draft process," O'Connor notes. "Though he’s incredibly raw, he’s a worthy project for the Knicks to take on considering they have multiple picks."

New York's lack of quality rotational depth wing players was exposed in their seven-game loss to the Indiana Pacers. That was largely due to injuries, but Furphy represents an upgrade over guys like Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovic either way.

His length and versatility would let Furphy fit in multiple lineups provided he improves defensively. It's easy to imagine Furphy drilling corner three-pointers for a focused Knicks squad, and I'm hoping he winds up in a big market like this one.
