3 Perfect NFL Draft Fits for Missouri Edge Darius Robinson
By Joe Summers
3. Houston Texans
The Texans have the 23rd pick, which could be a suitable range for Robinson if he performs at the combine like he did at the Senior Bowl.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans is one of the best defensive minds in the league and it looks like Houston is building something special. Will Anderson took home Defensive Rookie of the Year honors, though several other key contributors along the line are now free agents.
After stockpiling offensive talent in the last few drafts, the Texans could now look to do the same defensively. Who better to pair with Anderson than a massive, speedy talent like Robinson?
He plays a bit too high and can work on the finer points of his technique, yet it's impossible to deny Robinson's talent and overall physical ability. The Texans have hit several home runs in the last few drafts, and Robinson is certainly one prospect they'll do their homework on.
Houston looks like one of the biggest challengers to the Chiefs over the next few years. Selfishly, I'm hoping they don't take Robinson, though he's a player that could torment Kansas City alongside the already-promising young roster.
