2. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers need to retool their defense after the unit struggled in the playoffs and ranked just 14th in sacks per game (2.7). Javon Kinlaw, Sebastian Joseph-Day, and Kevin Givens are all pending free agents, so Robinson could help usher in a new era of San Francisco defenders while serving as an understudy to Defensive Player of the Year-candidate Nick Bosa.

With the 31st pick in the draft, the 49ers are right in Robinson's range near the end of the first round. Scouts expect the Missouri standout to take some time to develop his arsenal of pass-rushing moves, so San Francisco is a logical spot that he could grow without much immediate pressure.

Robinson's versatility would be a boost for San Francisco, who could move him and Bosa around on the line to manufacture advantageous matchups. He showed up in his toughest matchups as well, notching sacks against SEC powers Georgia, Tennessee and Florida while getting one against Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl as well.

It'd be painful for Chiefs fans to see Robinson go to the 49ers, but he projects as the kind of foundational pass-rusher that contending teams can rely on.

All that said, if he dominates at the NFL Combine, it's likely he'll hear his name called before San Francisco has the opportunity to draft him.

Should that happen, there's one more rising franchise that Robinson could help push over the top.
