Kansas Jayhawks' offensive lineman Dominick Puni projects to be a day-two selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. He's a versatile multi-year starter for one of the country's best offenses, looking like a player who can immediately start and develop for a team in need of reliable offensive linemen.

The 6'4", 323 LB lineman was originally an interior lineman but started 12 games at left tackle in 2023, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors for his efforts.

With a strong foundation, Puni excels as a run blocker but can hold his own in passing situations as well. He should be coveted by many teams as the NFL Combine gets going this week, so here's a look at three perfect draft fits for the standout Jayhawk:

3 Perfect 2024 NFL Draft Fits for Kansas OL Dominick Puni

1. New York Giants

The Giants have needs across the board at most positions, though they'll likely invest at least one draft selection on the offensive line. Getting a player like Puni, who has collegiete starts at left tackle, left guard and right tackle under his belt, would give New York the flexibility it desires as it tries to restart a competitive timeline with Daniel Jones.

Puni's biggest weakness is likely his sub 34-inch arms, though the Giants have the benefit of giving him time to develop and get used to the speed of the pro game while he works through that inherent disadvantage.

He was impressive at the Senior Bowl and helped his stock against strong competition. His wide frame and powerful hands give him natural blocking position in most situations, while stellar footwork helps alleviate the pitfalls of relatively short arms.

New York is likely to address a skill position with it's No. 6 overall selection, but Puni could make sense as soon as the second or third rounds. I'd project a third-round pick to be more likely, though there's always a place for a dependable lineman that can play multiple positions.

Given Jones' rushing ability and the Giants' recent desire to establish the running game, Puni would be a quality addition even if the organization moves on from star running back Saquon Barkley.

Should the Giants go in another direction, there's one local team that could certainly utilize Puni's services as you'll see on the next page.
