3. Jamal Agnew

The list of available wide receivers at this point is small and unexciting, which leads you to a name like former Lions and Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew. While players like Michael Thomas or even Richie James are out there, someone in Agnew's mold probably makes more sense.

He's a stellar return man, being named a First-Team All-Pro in his rookie season in Detroit, then made the Pro Bowl in 2022 with Jacksonville. Agnew has never cleared 230 receiving yards in a season, though Kadarius Toney only has once and that didn't stop the Chiefs from acquiring him.

After Kansas City already botched the new kickoff rules in Saturday's preseason loss and fumbled a punt as well, it's possible the return group needs an upgrade.

Agnew would not be the sexiest receiver signing. He would, however, come cheap and not require a big role, as someone like Thomas might. Considering the importance of quality returners with the NFL's new kickoff rule, Agnew could prove to be a valuable addition this late in the campaign.

Brown missing extended time in the regular season is not good for the Chiefs' Super Bowl hopes, tbut they can put themselves in a strong position by ensuring no stone is left unturned.
