3. Kris Abrams-Draine, Missouri

Kris Abrams-Draine is someone the Chiefs could be looking at in the third round, or even in Round 4 at 133 overall if he falls a bit. Generally I'm seeing him projected as a third or fourth-round pick.

That's kind of surprising when you consider that Abrams-Draine was First-Team All-SEC in 2023, and that his 85.8 PFF grade in his final season at Missouri is actually higher than teammate Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (80.7), who is considered a borderline first-round pick.

KAD is a former wide receiver who converted to corner, and you can see it in his play. He's explosive, has great top-end speed and plays the ball incredibly well when it's in the air.

He's also built like some wide receivers, weighing less than 180 pounds while standing 6 feet tall, and that's a bit of a concern.

He already struggled when asked to step up and defend the run at the college level, and that's only going to get worse in the pros. It will take some time for him to develop the strength and physicality to shore up his run defense, if he ever does.

But we've seen time and time again that the Chiefs seem willing to forsake run defense if it means getting a boost in pass defense. Abrams-Draine's upside as a cover corner is very high, and KC is definitely the kind of team that might be willing to overlook his shortcomings.
