We're just a few days away from Super Bowl LVIII as the Chiefs square off with the 49ers in a rematch of Patrick Mahomes' first championship win. It's expected that guys like Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice, Chris Jones and L'Jarius Sneed will play well, but what about the rest of the team?

Brett Veach has carefully constructed a deep and talented roster, so we'll certainly have some surprise performances in the big game. Deon Bush played only three snaps in the AFC Championship game and got an interception, for example.

With that in mind, let's look at three Chiefs who could shock us with incredible efforts to lead Kansas City to victory.

3 Chiefs Who Will Be Surprise X-Factors in Super Bowl

1. Mike Danna - DE

Danna has played well throughout the season in a contract year, and he's likely earned himself a nice payday. He's got an opportunity to secure a much bigger deal if he performs well in place of the injured Charles Omenihu, who has already been ruled out of the game.

He had a career-high 6.5 sacks in 16 games and while his snap count decreased a bit when Omenihu returned, we saw a glimpse of how effective Danna can be as a pass rusher in the early portion of the season when Omenihu was suspended.

In the first eight games of the year, Danna compiled 5.5 sacks while forming a dominant trio of pass rushers with Chris Jones and George Karlaftis.

Omenihu has big shoes to fill, but I'm confident in Danna's ability to step in and help this defense not miss a beat.

His prowess in the run game is critical as well, given Christian McCaffrey and the 49ers' stout run game. Should Danna play well and perhaps even secure a sack? You can bet he'll get a well-deserved contract this offseason, whether it's an extension from Kansas City or a new deal elsewhere.
