3 Chiefs Players Who Need More Playing Time to Win 2024 Super Bowl
By Joe Summers
3. Charles Omenihu - DE
Credit to Brett Veach that two of the players on this list are offseason acquisitions - nicely done sir. Make no mistake though, Charles Omenihu has been the Chiefs' best pass rusher over the last month and his playing time needs to be a priority.
He's got at least a half sack in five consecutive games, coming into his own after missing the first six games of the season due to a domestic violence suspension. With Omenihu caught up to game speed, this defensive front might be the best in the NFL.
Omenihu was signed on a two-year, $16 million deal this offseason. Forming a wicked unit with Chris Jones, George Karlaftis and Mike Danna, Omenihu helps unlock new heights for this defense.
This was Omenihu's first real opportunity to shine for a defense and he's played at a level fans likely didn't even think was possible.
He's been among the best defensive players on the team in the last month. If Omenihu keeps this up, we'l have the best defense in the playoffs, bar none.
