3. Kelvin Joseph, Cornerback

You know a guy is a good preseason story when he's rocking the same jersey number as someone else on the team.

Skyy Moore is the true owner of #24 for the Kansas City Chiefs right now, but most of the good stuff we see happening for that number in the preseason is coming from cornerback Kelvin Joseph.

Kelvin Joseph is yet another example for the rest of the league why you keep those scouting reports on former high draft picks fresh, and why you believe in your coaching staff to maximize that talent where others may discard it.

Joseph was a second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys once upon a time, and the Cowboys shipped him off to the Miami Dolphins last year in a trade for another discarded player, former first-round pick Noah Igbinoghene. The Dolphins obviously didn't keep Joseph around, either, and he found his way onto the Kansas City Chiefs' roster this offseason.

Nothing more than a 90-man roster dart throw, right?

Well, with the Chiefs' cornerback position in a state of transition, Joseph has been rather impressive this preseason. The Chiefs may have unearthed another gem in the secondary and, at the very least, Joseph looks like he could be a key contributor for Dave Toub's special teams unit this coming season.

Heading into the final week of the preseason, I'm not sure what all Joseph has left to prove to solidify his roster status. The former second-round pick is in a pretty good spot right now.
