2025 Opening Odds Indicate Kansas Jayhawks Are Championship Favorites
By Joe Summers
The NCAA Tournament is over and it's time to prepare for a new season. While the Jayhawks' season didn't end as hoped, they're still one of the country's premier teams and look poised to compete in 2024-25.
With K.J. Adams and Dajuan Harris coming back on top of a strong transfer class, Kansas once again enters the season ranked among the favorites to win a national championship.
Opening odds for 2024-25 just got released, putting the Jayhawks at the top alongside the Duke Blue Devils.
2024-25 NCAA Final Four Betting Odds Tab Kansas as Favorite
It makes sense that Kansas is at the top of the list. They've added two high-impact players already and have five-star prospect Flory Bidunga coming to town.
If Hunter Dickinson stick around, this team will have a perfect blend of experience and promise as they hope to improve on this year's second-round exit from March Madness.
Kansas endured a lot of injury issues this year and while Kevin McCullar Jr. can't come back, it looks like almost everyone else will. Continuity typically drives Bill Self's most successful teams, so this iteration might not be any different.
There's a long offseason ahead but the Jayhawks are staying busy. Oddsmakers are taking notice and expectations will be sky-high for this Kansas team in 2024-25. Even though the school won a championship just two years ago, the fanbase is thirsty for more success.
If the early odds are any indication, they just might get it.
