Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs' quest for a three-peat fell short in the Super Bowl, and virtually everyone in the Kingdom is ready to move on to 2025 in an effort to return to the promised land.
Mahomes and the team were clearly exhausted from three years of intense focus and extra games. It's time for change, not only for the roster but for some individual players as well.
One of those guys is Mahomes himself, who is turning the page to a new chapter with a dramatic adjustment in his physical appearance.
Time for new beginnings and a new chapter! 🔥

Patrick Mahomes Dons New Haircut After Super Bowl Loss
In a photo shared on social media, Mahomes was seen sporting a new look, cutting off the long hair that's been a defining part of his look since coming into the league.
Now his hair is much closer shaven as he prepares for the offseason and looks to the future. Mahomes had the worst statistical year of his career in 2024, passing for fewer than 4,000 yards and just 26 TDs to 11 interceptions. The offense suffered numerous key injuries throughout the campaign and dealt with uncertainty on the offensive line, so the limited production is easily explained.
It's obvious regardless that Mahomes is upset about how the Super Bowl ended and wants to get the job done next year. He realizes the missed opportunity from not three-peating and the only way to get another opportunity is to start by winning one.
Hopefully, these next several months will give him time to recharge. No one has played more football than Kansas City over the last three years -- they deserve a break.
Mahomes is still the best player in the NFL. The Chiefs will be back on the big stage sooner than later. It'll be a reshaped roster in 2025 given the number of pending free agents, but Mahomes isn't going anywhere and that's truly all that matters.
