The Kansas City Chiefs have a new starting left tackle in former San Francisco 49ers player Jaylon Moore, and he's already doing his best to ensure that the fans take him seriously.

Moore has shown tremendous promise during limited time, starting just three games in 2024 yet still ranking 25th out of 141 qualified tackles at Pro Football Focus. He's now expected to be a key part of a Chiefs offensive line that struggled to the point of causing a devastating Super Bowl loss, and it sounds like he's ready for the challenge.

Based on new comments from Thursday, Moore is ready to roll.

New Chiefs LT Jaylon Moore Gives Exciting Message to KC Fans After Signing

While meeting with the media, as reported by Harold Kuntz of FOX 4 KC, Moore had a special message to his new organization about the potential impact he could make.

"In my opinion the tape doesn't lie," Moore said. "They see something in me so I'm excited to go balls to the walls for these guys."

Kansas City would certainly be better off if he delivers on his promise. After losing All-Pro guard Joe Thuney and struggling with a pair of players who appear to be draft busts in Kingsley Suamataia and Wanya Morris, the left side of the offensive line is the biggest question mark on the roster. Patrick Mahomes can't do everything by himself, especially if he isn't protected, so Moore's impact will be felt immediately whether positively or negatively.

Hopefully, he'll make general manager Brett Veach look like a genius for signing him despite spending most of his four-year career as a backup. It certainly appears that he's motivated, particularly because the Chiefs only committed a two-year contract to him. If Moore improves the line and holds down the starting job, he'll likely earn a long-term extension to stay with the organization.

If not, Kansas City will be back to square one regarding one of the most important positions on the field.
