There are four weeks left in the regular season. The playoffs are rapidly approaching, and the Chiefs look to secure a historic three-peat.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 12-1 and head into Week 15 on a three-game win streak. On Sunday, they travel to play the Cleveland Browns in an AFC tilt.

This will be the first time running back Kareem Hunt faces off against his former team since joining Kansas City, and head coach Kevin Stefanski gave him some praise ahead of the matchup.

Chiefs News: Kevin Stefanski Gives Props to Kareem Hunt

Stefanski spoke about Hunt on Wednesday and gave his former player his flowers.

He said, "elite in short yardage, elite in screen game." Stefanski also added that he has respect for Hunt as a player and person.

The 29-year-old running back joined the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and spent five seasons with them (2019-2023). Stefanski was hired by the Browns in 2020 and coached the Toledo product for four seasons.

During his time with the Browns, Hunt finished with 2,285 rushing yards, 1,087 receiving yards, and 32 total touchdowns.

Hunt re-joined the Chiefs in September and helped save the backfield when running back Isiah Pacheco when down with a fractured fibula/tibia.

This season in Kansas City, the 2017 third-round pick has a team-high 608 rushing yards, 148 receiving yards, and five rushing scores.

With Pacheco back in the equation, the Chiefs have a dynamic force in the backfield.

As for the Browns, their season hasn't gone as expected. They are 3-10 on the year and will miss the playoffs. That isn't the case for the Chiefs, as they currently sit as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. A big reason for that is the play of Hunt.

The Chiefs are pleased with Hunt's production, and Stefanski gave his former player some love ahead of their tilt.
