The Kansas City Chiefs have been preparing for the biggest game of the season. On Sunday, the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are going to match up in Super Bowl LIX.

This contest is something that football fans are waiting for. Kansas City beat Philadelphia 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII and is looking to do it again. Running back Kareem Hunt wasn't part of the team in the previous meeting but will be playing in his first Super Bowl and believes two of his teammates could play a large role on Sunday evening.

Kareem Hunt Believes Joe Thuney and Noah Gray Can Make an Impact for Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX

When speaking to the media on Tuesday, Hunt shouted out Joe Thuney and Noah Gray as two underrated Chiefs who could make an impact in the Super Bowl.

Thuney has been a consistent force up front for the Chiefs. The 32-year-old logged 14 starts at guard to begin the season but started the final three games of the regular season and both playoff games at left tackle after Wanya Morris struggled and D.J. Humphries battled injuries.

Per Pro Football Focus, Thuney had a 79.9 overall grade (12th among 135 eligible guards) and an 81.9 pass-blocking grade (fifth among 135 eligible guards). He also hasn't allowed a sack all season and will have his hands full blocking Jalen Carter on Sunday as keeping Patrick Mahomes upright is the key to victory for the Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Gray had a career season in 2024. Although he hasn't been featured much during the postseason, Gray has emerged as a nice pass-catching option for the Chiefs. The 25-year-old posted career-highs in targets (49), catches (40), receiving yards (437), and touchdowns (5). Gray was also second on the team with six catches of 20-plus yards downfield.

Hunt is right that Thuney and Gray are two names that could play a big role for the Chiefs. Most fans wouldn't name immediately list them as difference-makers, but that doesn't mean they won't play well for Kansas City on Sunday.

This Chiefs team is loaded and that's why they are on the verge of winning their third straight Super Bowl.
