Chiefs safety Justin Reid recently gave his overwhelming support for the rather absurd "controversy" about players' romantic partners attending games.

Inspired by the attention Taylor Swift's relationship with Travis Kelce has brought to the team, the romantic partners of players are such a hot topic that a reality show is being made about them.

Reid fully supports the attendance and even received a special surprise on Monday Night Football, with his long-time girlfriend Marissa Rand using a crowd sign to announce that she was pregnant with his first child.

Justin Reid Supports Chiefs Players' Romantic Partners Attending Games

Appearing on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, Reid made his stance clear. "Absolutely. Who doesn't play better when they want to impress their girlfriend?"

Directing his attention to the Swift controversy, he declared, "Taylor, come to all the games. Taylor, keep coming." Considering the monetary benefits her attendance brings to the organization, Clark Hunt probably wants her to come to as many games as possible too. Roger Goodell and the NFL certainly do.

For Reid specifically, the exciting announcement that his partner is expecting a child adds new significance to this season. He's a pending free agent hoping to earn another large contract from the Chiefs or another team, so he's now got additional motivation to play as well as possible.

He and Rand are owed a massive congratulations. Reid has become one of the most important leaders on this team and he's playing well this year, bringing his familiar brand of physicality to the secondary. Here's hoping he has a spectacular season and forces the Chiefs hand next year.
