In 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs' passing attack was the worst it's ever been with Patrick Mahomes, totaling only 3,928 yards. Kansas City's struggles stemmed from the injuries their main weapons sustained. Second-year standout Rashee Rice suffered a Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) tear in Week 4 of the 2024 season.

Meanwhile, veteran speedster Marquise "Hollywood" Brown suffered an AC joint injury in the first preseason game. Although Brown returned in Week 16, these injuries completely changed how the Chiefs passing attack was supposed to look.

That said, Kansas City has decided they want to run it back with the same wide receiver trio in 2025, re-signing Brown to a one-year deal up to $11 million before the start of free agency.

On Thursday, the 27-year-old spoke to the media for the first time since deciding to return. Brown spoke about his relationship with both Rice and Xavier Worthy and how excited he is to work with them again in 2025.

Marquise Brown Expresses Excitement about Running it Back with Kansas City in 2025

"Those are my guys. The sky is the limit. We talk all the time about history and the team we're on. . . that stuff we're striving for through the offseason, through our training. We're trying to push each other to be the best. We can do something that has never been done before. "

Entering training camp last season, Brown was excited to be a part of this trio and thought big things were in store. A year later, hearing Brown echo those same sentiments should instill hope in Chiefs fans.

Nobody wants to see Kansas City's offense struggle next season like it did in 2024. The easiest fix for the offense is to get Mahomes and the passing game humming again. Having the three targets who the 2024 offense was designed around back and healthy is the most logical solution.

Nevertheless, the trio's potential success on the field together still needs to be proven. Regardless of Brown's confidence in himself, Rice and Worthy Chiefs fans should reserve excitement until the first couple of games are played next season.
