Rare is the opportunity for a rival to earn more ire than Tom Brady, but that was the case when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.

Sure, Brady's 3 touchdowns stung, but somehow Leonard Fournette capping off his "Playoff Lenny" run with 135 yards from scrimmage plus a touchdown really hurt. If you polled Chiefs fans after the loss, Fournette was probably the player who had them seething the most.

Of course, the soon to be 30-year-old Fournette has done little since, and he remains a free aget after only managing to earn 12 carries with the Buffalo Bills in 2023. That hasn't stopped a different Chiefs rival from thinking it might be worth kicking the tires though.

The Cincinnati Bengals, apparently desperate for running back health and never able to get the Chiefs out of their heads, are working out Fournette on Monday.

The Bengals just traded for former Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert at the deadline to replace the injured Zack Moss, but their disastrous backfield clearly still needs more help. And you know things are rough when Fournette is your first choice for "more help."

Bengals-Chiefs has been an interesting budding rivalry over the last few years, but realistically Chiefs fans are getting to the point where it's hard to care too much about Cincy. They're 4-6. They're struggling to stay relevant and make a Wild Card playoff push. And they're hurting so bad on offense that they're considering bringing in Leonard Fournette.

If the Bengals had any hope of travelling to Arrowhead for a postseason matchup this year, activating Fournette for the game could be some fun mind games. He wouldn't impact the game anyway, but it would certainly make headlines ahead of kickoff.

But now, if they want to try to have Fournette spring a late-season push to get the team up over .500? Have fun, Bengals fans.
