The Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up for their final preseason game on Friday against the Chicago Bears. Head coach Andy Reid has already confirmed the Chiefs will play their starters. Given that Kansas City opens their season exactly two weeks from Friday against the Los Angeles Chargers, this is a smart move
That said, one of the Chiefs' biggest AFC foes may bring back a player Chiefs fans are all too familiar with. According to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports, the Buffalo Bills are expected to host wide receiver Gabe Davis on a visit on Tuesday. Davis began his career in Buffalo, being a pain in the Chiefs' side whenever they played.

Bills May Bring Back WR Gabe Davis to Be a Thorn in the Chiefs' Side
The 26-year-old has faced the Chiefs five times as a member of the Bills, three times in the regular season and twice in the playoffs. In his three regular-season appearances, he has tallied four receptions on nine targets for 81 yards and one touchdown.
Despite Davis being a non-factor in the regular season, he has killed Kansas City in the playoffs. In two playoff games, the 26-year-old has recorded eight receptions on 13 targets for 201 yards and four touchdowns. All of Davis's playoff success against Kansas City came in their epic AFC divisional round showdown in 2022.
Davis scored the go-ahead touchdown with 13 seconds left in the fourth quarter. That touchdown ultimately didn't matter as Patrick Mahomes somehow got Kansas City into field goal range in the remaining 13 seconds.
Even so, Davis's big day made him an enemy in Kansas City forever. Thus, Davis's rejoining Buffalo would add even more fuel to the rivalry.
Moreover, Buffalo would be smart to bring Davis. Currently, the Bills' top receivers are Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer. Even though Josh Allen was able to elevate an average receiving corps last season, it wasn't enough to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs. Maybe bringing Davis back would help them in that quest.
Nevertheless, Chiefs Kingdom would still be confident in their team's ability to beat the bills in the playoffs. However, before we get to that inevitable matchup, these two teams will play in Week 9 of the 2025 season.
