Former Chiefs star CB Charvarius Ward was extremely unhappy with his 49ers teammate after San Francisco's Thursday Night Football loss to the Los Angeles Rams, calling him out in media availability with shocking new comments.

All-Pro LB De'Vondre Campbell had a bizarre moment in which he refused to enter the game in the third quarter, drawing the ire of teammates.

Based on Ward's comments, there is no love lost in the locker room. It's unclear why Campbell wouldn't go into the contest, yet it's obvious he no longer has friends on the roster.

There is anger and then there's a flamethrower. Ward chose the latter, making it clear that Campbell isn't welcome with his teammates.

Legitimate concern should exist about Campbell's well-being. He'd started 12 of 13 games this year, compiling 79 tackles and two deflected passes. One rumor suggests he was being benched and responded poorly, though his actions suggest there may be something deeper going on.

Regardless, Campbell will likely be searching for a new team this offseason. It's hard to imagine that head coach Kyle Shanahan will keep him around given the reactions from other 49ers, and San Francisco now becomes the latest example of a team who melted down after losing to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The Eagles missed the playoffs last year and the 49ers will miss it this year. Losing to the Chiefs in the biggest game seems to destroy teams and Campbell's disaster is merely the latest example of that point.

Hopefully, the 31-year-old defender can return to the form that made him one of the best linebackers in the NFL. That seems far-fetched at this point and if he's not careful, Campbell may never play another down in the league again.
