The Kansas City Chiefs wrap up their voluntary offseason work this week and host their mandatory minicamp next week. Although these next two weeks hold some importance, fans are excited for the start of training camp at the end of July. One of the main reasons for that is because they will get a true evaluation of the offensive lineman in full pads, providing a better idea of whether the unit looks improved from last year.
That said, a former Chiefs offensive lineman who gained some fan support two offseasons ago could be on his way back to the NFL. According to Aaron Wilson of KRPC2 Houston, the New Orleans Saints worked out former Chiefs offensive guard Vitaliy Gurman on Monday.

Former Chiefs Offensive Lineman Vitaliy Gurman Could be Returning to the NFL
Gruman entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent after not being selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers were the first team to give the then 23-year-old a chance with a minicamp invite, but didn't end up extending an offer to him. As a result, Kansas City added him to their preseason roster.
Gurman quickly gained fan support for always being the first Chief at training camp. His hard work earned him the opportunity to play in all three preseason games. However, he was unable to earn a roster spot or a practice squad spot with Kansas City for the 2022 season.
Since then, he's made stops with the Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals and the New York Jets, but has failed to stay with any of those teams. Gurman played spring football in the United Football League (UFL) for the San Antonio Brahmas in 2025.
Though Gurman never started a game for the Chiefs, fans hope he can find a job in the NFL before the 2025 season begins.
