The Kansas City Chiefs are wrapping up mandatory minicamp on Thursday and it's been a successful week, though there have still been plenty of roster moves around the league as anticipation builds for training camp this fall.
Kansas City underwent significant roster turnover, and one former player whom the organization recently cut landed a new job late Wednesday afternoon.
Cornerback Robert Rochell, who was released in May after being signed following the 2024-25 season, will now play for the Dallas Cowboys.

Former Chiefs CB Robert Rochell Signs With Cowboys During Minicamp
As reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, Rochell signed with the Cowboys during the Chiefs' minicamp. Dallas has been finished with minicamp for a week, though this is still an intriguing signing for a team that's dealt with significant injuries at defensive back in recent seasons.
Rochell never appeared in a game for Kansas City, getting signed in March and then quickly cut in May, but he was still a desired player during the last few months.
Originally a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams out of Central Arkansas, Rochell has appeared in 48 games, albeit sparingly, notching 25 tackles and four deflected passes while primarily being a special-teams contributor.
He ranked 122nd out of 222 qualified cornerbacks at Pro Football Focus last year with the Green Bay Packers, though he's now joining his fourth team in as many years. In all likelihood, the 27-year-old is battling for his final contract in the league, barring a surprise, so his camp is obviously hoping he can make an impact in Dallas.
The Chiefs, who are known for excellent evaluations at the position, didn't see enough out of him to keep him on the roster. Rochell has talent, but he'll now have to show that he belongs in the NFL. If organizations like the Rams, Packers, and Chiefs don't want you, that speaks volumes.
Regardless, here's hoping Rochell can turn his career around and achieve success in this league.
