Former Chiefs WR Gehrig Dieter and Patrick Mahomes enjoyed a fun time at the Royals' ALDS Game 3 loss to the Yankees on Wednesday night, followed by some antics on social media.

Dieter, who won a Super Bowl with Kansas City, enjoyed some jabs with Tyreek Hill on social media. Ultimately, Dieter promised that he'd re-sign with the Chiefs if Hill ever returned to the organization that drafted him.

Neither reunion is likely to happen, though it's still fun to imagine in a fantasy world.

Former Chiefs WR Gehrig Dieter Says He'll Return if Tyreek Hill Does

A reserve who rarely saw game action, Dieter caught only three passes for 54 yards during his three years with the Chiefs.

Even if he wanted to come back, it's unlikely Kansas City would accept him with open arms. The fans and his friend Mahomes certainly would, though business decisions remain exactly that: business decisions.

Hill's situation is a bit more curious amid rumors he wants to leave the Dolphins to come back, yet it's equally unlikely. For now, the Chiefs are probably moving forward with the group they have, despite fans' chagrin.

Dieter was beloved in Kansas City and still has a home, especially as a potential future coach, yet his time on the football field is likely over. He and Mahomes still maintain a great relationship and poke fun at one another, but both know there isn't a place for Dieter on the 53-man roster.

Even still, that won't stop anyone from having some fun online in the midst of an intense playoff battle.
