The biggest personnel move the Chiefs made last offseason was trading away star CB L'Jarius Sneed to the Titans, moving forward with a secondary centered around All-Pro Trent McDuffie.

Through six weeks, Kansas City's defense is as good as ever. However, Tennessee fans don't sound happy with their end of the bargain. Sneed has struggled relative to his previous output. While he wasn't pleased about the trade to begin with, it appears that general manager Brett Veach made the right decision.

With a 1-4 record and mediocre roster, the Titans are going nowhere fast. Good for Sneed that he got his big contract, yet there's no question about which party is in a better spot moving forward.

Former Chiefs CB L'Jarius Sneed Struggling With Titans

Widely recognized as perhaps the best shadow corner in the NFL last year, Sneed's underlying metrics suggest the Chiefs jumped ship at the right time.

He's allowed a career-worst 8.4 yards per target and 15 yards per completion. It's worth noting that the Titans rank second in the NFL in opponent yards per pass attempt (5.0) but Tennessee faithful are still upset.

Sneed is the least of the Titans' problems. Will Levis has been a hilarious nightmare as a starter and this team can't be successful until it gets the quarterback position right. Cornerbacks have nothing to do with that and we've seen Sneed be a dominant force for the two-time defending Super Bowl champions.

It's unfortunate to see him struggling and he currently ranks 177th out of 182 qualifying corners in Pro Football Focus' database. Chiefs fans hope he turns things around and remember him fondly, yet Veach seemingly sold high at the perfect time.

Kansas City won't play Tennessee this season unless the Titans make a miracle run to the playoffs. Either way, Chiefs fans will be watching Sneed from afar and rooting for him.
