The Kansas City Chiefs have seen significant roster turnover throughout the dynastic years, having numerous players come and go as the organization tries desperately to keep the league's best roster.
With the Philadelphia Eagles hot on their heels after last year's Super Bowl, the Chiefs can ill-afford to make big mistakes with the final 53-man unit. Since so many players have come and gone in recent seasons, there have been dozens of ex-Kansas City players bouncing around the league.
One guy with a history of injuries just signed with an AFC laughingstock and it may be his final chance to stick in the NFL.

Former Chiefs CB Darius Rush Signs with Browns During Preseason
As noted by the team's official X account, the Cleveland Browns signed former Chiefs cornerback Darius Rush earlier this week. The 25-year-old was originally a fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft but has struggled with ailments and hasn't stayed on the field often enough to prove his worth.
Rush was released with an undisclosed injury settlement by Kansas City just a couple of weeks ago, and he also had a hip injury with the Indianapolis Colts and a concussion with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The ex-South Carolina standout has been solid in limited action, surrendering just a 50% completion percentage and 68.7 passer rating when targeted in coverage during his career.
It's a small sample size, just three games, yet this is still an intriguing player if he's able to keep his body in check. A deep organization like the Chiefs doesn't have much room for him, but one like the Browns could give him playing time in a rebuilding effort to let him prove his capability.
He's a solid yet unspectacular special teams contributor as well, notching 38% of those snaps for the Steelers in 2024. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound defensive back has ideal size for the position, so it's merely a matter of ensuring he stays on the field. In all likelihood, this signing won't impact anything and Kansas City fans shouldn't be concerned, yet it's notable nonetheless as an example of yet another Chiefs player joining another team.
General manager Brett Veach has done a tremendous job of finding diamonds in the rough and while Rush didn't work out, he has plenty of potential and could deliver on his promise in Cleveland.
