Future Chiefs Hall of Famer Chris Jones spoke to the media after Kansas City's win against the Raiders, declaring he intended to speak to the NFLPA about the Chiefs' ridiculous scheduling moving forward.

Even the NFL knows how bad Kansas City's schedule is. Most would assume that the league would prefer to cater to the attention created by a theoretical three-peat, but nobody told those who make the schedules.

Based on Jones' comments, the team realizes they were set up to fail.

Chris Jones Calls out NFL for Terrible Chiefs Schedule

"One thing I'm doing this offseason," Jones said. "I'm going to the NFLPA, especially with us having like three games in a 10-day span."

He pointed out that it'd make sense for the Chiefs to have a mandatory late bye week. Kansas City's bye was in Week 6. If you're going to force a team to play to much in front of a national audience late in the year, it's only logical to give them a break late in the year.

There's no wonder the Chiefs have dealt with so many injuries this year. Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown, Jaylen Watson, Isiah Pacheco, and many more have gone down. A bye week late in the season would've certainly helped, though no one has ever accused the NFL of looking out for its players.

For those counting at home, the Chiefs will play on the road against the Browns on December 15 before a home matchup with the Texans on December 21. They'll then go to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Christmas.

It's a nightmare sequence, making the importance of securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC even more important. Hopefully Kansas City can get the job done. Otherwise, the playoffs will be more difficult than they appear at first glance.
