The Kansas City Chiefs will officially host the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs following the Denver Broncos' embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Bills. Thankfully, sportsbooks have already released opening odds and Kansas City has nothing to worry about.

Despite Houston's impressive victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, this is not a team that fans should take seriously. The Texans have almost no chance to beat the Chiefs, illustrated by their pathetic first-half performance that only looked impressive thanks to Justin Herbert's four interceptions.

If Kansas City doesn't win this easy matchup, they had no business in the playoffs in the first place.

Chiefs vs. Texans Odds Give Kansas City a Massive Advantage

Over at FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 7.5-point favorites with -340 odds on the moneyline, implying a 77.24% chance that Kansas City gets the job done.

This is a disrespectful line to Houston, though there's little to suggest the Texans are capable of taking down an elite team like the Chiefs. Sure, they took down the Chargers and Titans, but they were demolished by both Kansas City and the Baltimore Ravens in the two weeks prior.

If the Chiefs can't beat this pathetic team, they ever had any business competing for a three-peat in the first place. C.J. Stroud is one of the best young signal callers in the league, though even he can't overcome the roster discrepancy that Houston will face.

Most Chiefs games are close, so perhaps the 7.5-point spread is too big. Even still, Kansas City covered in three of their last four games, illustrating that this is a team that was waiting for the big moments all along.

Chiefs fans should rejoice in the fact that they have a relatively easy playoff game. The Ravens and Bills are true threats but will square off against each other, giving Kansas City a large edge.

No matter what happens, no one can argue that Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid had a difficult path in the Divisional Round. As things stand, they're +370 to win the Lombardi over at FanDuel.
