The Chiefs' left tackle conundrum remains one of the biggest questions on the roster ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline. Kansas City takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a game they should win, and it could be Wanya Morris' last opportunity to prove he can be the starter moving forward.

Kinglsey Suamataia is still waiting in the wings, but Brett Veach could be aggressive either with a trade or free agency signing. Last year's starter, Donovan Smith, is still available. Perhaps a reunion would lead to another Super Bowl.

Considering Kansas City is still undefeated, they're obviously capable of winning despite the left tackle struggling. Defensive lines get better in the playoffs though and if the Chiefs want to commit to a three-peat, they need better production.

LT Wanya Morris Needs to Prove He Should Remain Starter vs. Bucs

Protecting Patrick Mahomes is the most important thing for the rest of the season, even more so than actual wins. If he's healthy throughout the postseason, it's hard to imagine this Chiefs team not having a real chance to make history.

That's what's alarming about Morris and Suamataia. They're in charge of protecting Mahomes' back. We've seen him win a Super Bowl injured before but no one wants to see that have to happen again.

It's unclear what options could be available on the trade market, making Smith possibly the most logical option. Andy Reid has expressed his preference to acquire players who are familiar with the system, and Smith was the starter in the 2023 Super Bowl after all.

If Morris doesn't play well against the Buccaneers, Veach will have a difficult decision to make.
