After reloading at a few key positions this offseason, the Kansas City Chiefs are primed for another Super Bowl run. Kansas City addressed its offensive line by signing left tackle Jaylon Moore as an immediate fix and drafting Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons to be the left tackle of the future.

Moreover, the Chiefs added pass rush help by drafting University of Tennessee defensive tackle Omar Norman-Lott and University of Louisville edge rusher Ashton Gillotte. Lastly, the selected Utah State wide receiver Jalen Royals to add depth to the room.

These moves will help Kansas City continue to battle with its rivals at the top of the AFC, including the Cincinnati Bengals. Since Joe Burrow became Cincinnati's quarterback in 2020, the two franchises have had intense battles.

That said, a former Bengals pass catcher who played two seasons with Burrow has yet to find a home for 2025,

Former Bengals Tight End CJ Uzomah Remains Jobless Heading Into Training Camp

The Cincinnati Bengals drafted CJ Uzomah in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The former Auburn tight end would go on to play his first seven NFL seasons with the Bengals. During that time,
Uzomah recorded six receptions on ten targets for 45 yards and one touchdown in three games against the Chiefs.

Although he wasn't much of a threat on his own, when Burrow was his quarterback, he theoretically could have had a big game whenever. Therefore, Chiefs fans disliked him like they did every other player on the Bengals.

Since leaving Cincinnati after the 2021 season, the 32-year-old's career has been on the decline. He had two below-average years with the New York Jets before joining the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. Although Uzomah was inactive throughout the Eagles' playoff run, he can boast about beating Kansas City in the biggest game of the year.

For Chiefs fans, that adds another layer of disgust to the Super Bowl loss. Nevertheless, with Uzomah still looking for a job, Chiefs fans can celebrate as they look to make it back to the Super Bowl.
