Chiefs Reportedly Eyeing Two Additional Moves as Trade Deadline Approaches
By Cem Yolbulan
The Kansas City Chiefs are 7-0 for the season and they already made two trades to improve their roster for the second half of the campaign. The additions of DeAndre Hopkins and Joshua Uche give them much-needed depth and veteran competence in two important positions.
It turns out Chiefs GM Brett Veach may still not be done. As the Nov. 5 trade deadline approaches, the Chiefs are reportedly looking at upgrades in two more positions. The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported on Saturday that the team is considering another wide receiver addition and a "young, fast" cornerback.
"But the Chiefs still might not be done. If a wide receiver falls into their laps, I’m told they are going to try to land another one with Skyy Moore on injured reserve. Also, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo would love for Veach to get him a young, fast corner. Kansas City is trying to land the final pieces on its mission to a three-peat."

This signals that the organization understands how big the opportunity for the Chiefs is. Veach and the front office are clearly not leaving anything to chance and not taking their foot off the gas.
Potential interest in a WR and a cornerback is likely in line with what Chiefs fans want at the deadline. Since Jaylen Watson went down with a probable season-ending injury, there have been rumors of a deal for a secondary defender. The wide receiver rotation is still insufficient despite the addition of Hopkins. Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown are obviously unavailable and Skyy Moore recently landed on injured reserve.
Whether the Chiefs will be able to pull off another move remains to be seen but it's clear that Veach is not going to leave any stone unturned.
