Chiefs Provide Huge Kicker Injury News to Begin Week 15 Practice
The Kansas City Chiefs are 12-1 as Week 15 rolls around. The Chiefs have won three consecutive games and travel to play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Despite owning the best record in the AFC, Kansas City has dealt with countless injuries to key contributors this season. Kicker was one of the spots that got hit. Kicker Harrison Butker was placed on IR on Nov. 14 after he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee after he got hurt during practice.
That forced him to miss Weeks 11-14, but on Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid gave an encouraging update on Butker.
Chiefs News: Harrison Butker Has a Shot of Playing in Week 15
During Wednesday's media session, Reid was asked about Butker's availability and revealed he was a shot of playing against the Browns.
"We're going to be see how he does. He has a chance."

The Chiefs have had a kicking carousel ever since Butker went down. On Nov. 15, Kansas City claimed Spencer Shrader from the New York Jets practice squad, where he kicked against the Buffalo Bills and Carolina Panthers. Shrader went 3-of-3 on field goal attempts and six-of-six on extra point attempts.
Then, right before the Week 13 contest against the Raiders, Shrader suffered a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve. That promoted Kansas City to elevate Matthew
Wright to the active roster from the practice squad.
Over the past two games, Wright is 8-of-9 on field goal attempts, including the game-winning 31-yard kick over the Los Angeles Chargers last week on Sunday Night Football.
The 28-year-old has been solid in relief, but if the Chiefs can get Butker back, that'll be a massive boost. This season, the three-time Super Bowl Champion is 18-of-20 on field goal attempts and 21-of-22 on extra points.
He gives the Chiefs stability at a crucial position and is close to a return.
