4. Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

If not for a torn ACL that ended his season after six games, Josh Simmons would likely be off the board much earlier in this draft. That injury has made him one of the biggest mysteries in this year’s class.

Simmons would benefit most from a year to sit, develop, and adjust to the speed of the NFL game. When healthy, he’s an elite athlete for his position, with the ability to handle both power rushers and speed rushers without missing a beat. If the Chiefs are willing to be patient, Simmons could be a steal waiting to happen.

5. Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

The Chiefs already have plenty of firepower at receiver with Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, and Marquise Brown, but there’s always room for another playmaker in an offense built around Patrick Mahomes. Luther Burden III could be just that.

Burden is a nightmare for defenders after the catch. Missouri often deployed him on crossers, wide receiver screens, and jet sweeps, using his blend of speed and power to turn short gains into highlight-reel plays. Once he gets the ball in his hands, it’s like trying to tackle a bowling ball with jets—he’s relentless, elusive, and tough to bring down in open space.

6. Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

Now back to the big men. At 6-foot-4 and 331 pounds, Kenneth Grant isn’t just a defensive tackle—he’s a moving roadblock. He clogs running lanes, eats up blockers, and makes life easier for the pass rushers around him.

Despite his size, he has a quick first step that helps him collapse pockets and disrupt plays before they develop. He may not be the flashiest pick, but he’d be a rock-solid addition to Kansas City’s defensive front—the kind of player whose impact goes beyond the stat sheet.
